Nightstand essentials
I’m the type of person who can’t just sit at home for four months and do nothing. I need a project to keep my mind busy. My latest project is redecorating my master bedroom. Most of the furniture in my bedroom before I launched this project was from my senior year of college. I graduated from undergrad in 2008. If you’ve done the math, you’ve agreed with me that this makeover is long overdue. I am using this time at home to transform my bedroom into a paradise.
To keep this project on a budget, I’ve made sure most of the items I purchased during this makeover were on sale or reasonably priced. Today I’m giving you a glimpse at a few of my favorite nightstand essentials from Target and sharing a few tips to consider when styling.a nightstand.
I want my bedroom to be place where I can retreat after a long day to relax and unwind. I selected a beachy theme. Once I post about the full bedroom reveal you’ll notice I selected a lot of blues, grays, and creme colors throughout the room. These colors are very light and airy and remind me of the being at a beach house.

When styling your nightstand you should keep a few things in mind.
Keep it simple. I hate seeing cluttered nightstands. Keep it limited to two-three items max.
Scale in sizing. When selecting your two to three items for your nightstand. Have one large item like a lamp, one medium item like a picture frame or vase, and one small item like a book.
Add a pop of color. A nightstand is a great place to add pops of color to your room. Use greenery or colorful frames and books to brighten up the space.
