10 most popular blog posts of the decade

decadeinreview.png

In 2020, I’ll celebrate ten years of blogging. This blog is currently nine years old and I’ll celebrate my 10th blog anniversary in February. To wrap up the decade, I’ve compiled a list of my ten most popular blog posts from the last ten years. A lot has happened over the past decade. I’ve changed the design of this blog several times, completely rebranded the entire vision of my brand, and launched a YouTube channel.

I took a deep dive into the analytics to see which posts were fan favorites. In no particular order, let’s take a look back at some of the most popular blog posts from the last ten years.

Ten

Recipe: Fruit-Infused Waters

Hate drinking water? Give your H20 an upgrade in flavor with this recipe for fruit-infused waters. This blog post was a fan favorite for many and still is. This recipe was featured in several places, including Shape and Equinox

Nine

Around Atlanta: My favorite coffee shops in Atlanta

Some of my popular posts during the past decade have been about places to see and things to do in Atlanta and other cities. This blog post from 2018 on my favorite coffee shops in Atlanta was fun to create. I started my blog ten years ago based on recommendations from friends that I should share what I love in Atlanta. I plan to share more content in my Around Atlanta series in the weeks to come.

Eight

Recipe: Coca-Cola BBQ Tacos

I collaborated with Coca-Cola for a fun series where influencers from Atlanta, we were challenged to create recipes for the corporate brand using Coke, of course. Coke is a great multi-purpose ingredient that works well in many recipes. I wanted to create a savory recipe that included the soda product. I took a spin on Taco Tuesday and made pulled pork BBQ tacos in the slow cooker using Coca-Cola as a marinade. The Coca-Cola goes well with the pork because it gives it a sweet caramel glaze.

Seven

Ten small businesses to follow on IG for Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday has become a national holiday in the US, where Americans go out to support small businesses the Saturday after Black Friday. I’m a huge supporter of small businesses, so I profiled some of my favorite small business owners to follow on Instagram.

Six

40 days of Yoga challenge

In 2018, I signed up for a yoga challenge at one of my favorite studios in Atlanta. A small group of yogis embarked upon a journey to do yoga for 40 days straight. I was at a point in my life where I felt like the world was collapsing around me. This yoga journey helped me focus and remain positive about the future.

Five

Whole 30 Finds from Aldi

If you follow me on Instagram and subscribe to my YouTube channel, you know I love Aldi. During my journey on Whole 30, I highlighted some of my favorite products from Aldi that were Whole 30 compliant.

Four

Berry-Peach Peanut Butter Parfaits

Looking back at the past decade, I still have a few favorite staple recipes in my collection. This is one of my favorites to pull out, especially during the summer months when peaches are in season. Kids and Adults will love this spin on the classic PB&J parfait.

Three

The perfect fall coat

This orange coat is still one of my favorite pieces in my closet to wear. It’s light enough to wear during the fall months in Georgia when it is not too cold, but it’s great for layering with a sweater during the winter. Your comments flooded my timeline, asking where this coat was from.

Two

Lady in the Red Free People Dress

This is one of my favorite brands, collaborations. In 2016, I collaborated with Free People for Valentine’s Day to share my favorite date ideas. I loved this red dress from Free People, it’s classy but also sexy.

In this blog post, I took you behind the scenes of the redesign of my blog with a Q&A discussion with the logo designer, Tiffany Jones, who discusses the inspiration for the project.

I hope you enjoyed this walk down memory lane with me. I’m so grateful for your support during the past ten years.
