The Dry Bar Atlanta

Last week before heading out on Thanksgiving vacation, I stopped into the Dry Barto get my hair done. The Dry Bar is a new hair salon franchise that recently popped up in Atlanta. They just focus on blowouts, no cuts or color. They also have locations in Dallas, California, Arizona, and New York.

Earlier this spring I discovered the Dry Bar after reading a review online and planned to try them out while I was in Dallas in March. But after I broke my foot during my trip to Dallas my plans changed. I was excited when I  heard that the Dry Bar was going to open a location in Atlanta. The Founder, Ali Webb lived in Atlanta as a child and thought the new Buckhead location would be perfect! There are two locations in Atlanta. One in Buckhead and one in Alpharetta.

So I went online and booked my appointment and decided to try them out. The one great thing about the Dry Bar is that it only costs $35 to get your hair done, regardless of the length or texture.

I have to say I was little bit worried about going to the Dry Bar at first because I wasn't sure if they did African-American hair. After doing my research I discovered that they welcomed all hair types curly, straight, relaxed, and natural.

So I headed out after work and went to my appointment. The Dry Bar has great hours that are convenient for a working woman like me, so you can get your hair done after a long day at the office.

Once I arrived I checked-in at the front desk and took a seat and relaxed. While waiting I was offered the choice of a glass of wine or a fruit infused water. I opted for the fruit infused water.

The Dry Bar is decorated just like a bar from the plush white sofas to the paint on the walls. It's very swanky.

Once it was time for me to get my hair done I was escorted to the back to get shampooed and conditioned. I paid $10 extra to get a scalp massage. I was happy to see they used Moroccan Oil products at the salon. Once I was done being shampooed that's when I met my stylist Seth. He them told me about the styling options. The Dry Bar has 7 different styles for you to choose from and they are all named after cocktails. Straight-Up: Their signature blowout, straight with a little body;Manhattan: Sleek and Straight; The Cosmo: Lots of Loose Curls; The Mai Tai:Messy Beachy Hair; Cosmo Tai: A mix of the Cosmo and The Mai Tai; Southern Comfort: Big Hair with lots of Volume;Hot Toddy: Messy Beachy Hair.

I got the Cosmo Tai! Seth used Moroccan Oil and Living Proof products on my hair.

He blow dried my hair and then used a clip-less curling iron to make the curls.

Another thing I loved about getting my hair done at the Dry Bar is that they always have a movie playing in the salon on flat screen TV's. While I was getting my hair done they were showing Made of Honor with Patrick Dempsey but I heard that Sex and The City is always showing.

My stylist Seth was so nice and I loved how my hair turned out.

They also have flat irons so if you want your hair bone straight they can do that too.

I will definitely be going back to the Dry Bar to get my hair done again.

If your city has a Dry Bar, I recommend you check it out. You can also book a party at the salon, so if you are getting married this may be a great idea for a Bachelorette Party.
