I look forward to sharing these posts with you each week. It’s an easy way to give you a glimpse into my life. Each day, I jot down a few things that I loved about my day to track of memories from the week. I keep bookmarking articles I love from the week. By the end of the week, I have highlights to share with you. I need to do better about taking photos each day but I promise that will improve over time.
This week the weather was really nice in Atlanta. We had a few days of rainy weather but the sun was shining bright by the weekend. Today it’s really cold here this morning the low was in the 20s, so I opted for staying in bed a little longer. I love cold weather because it puts you in a cozy mood but I’m starting to fall in love with spring as well.
Here’s what I’m loving from the past week:
Loving… prioritizing movement. Last week was filled with many highs and lows but ended on a good note. Since I knew the week would be busy, I prioritize self-care. I started each day with a little movement. At the beginning of the week, I took a mantra Monday yoga class with Alex Scolari on the obé Fitness app. During class, she talked about finding simple moments of joy throughout your day. So I jotted the affirmation down on a post-it note and added it to my home office computer monitor to reflect on each day. Interested in trying obé Fitness? Loving… These translucent post-it notes. I found them at Office Depot for a very low price point. Here are some similar ones from Amazon. They are perfect for capturing notes in a book, posting mirror affirmations or writing computer notes to yourself.
Watching… Queen’s Court on Peacock. I gave up watching most reality TV shows during the pandemic. I don’t really know why but they just don’t capture my attention anymore. But I found a new reality show that I loved watching. I spent Thursday and Friday evening watching the Queen's Court on the Peacock app. It’s a reality TV dating show featuring three famous 40 + single women looking for love. Evelyn Lozada, Tamar Braxton and the singer Nivea are the queens looking for love. They brought in single suitors to court and date them. It was very well produced and hosted. Holli Robinson Pete and her husband were the mentors/ hosts.
Loving… Jocelyn Delk Adams’ new cookbook “Everyday Grand”. On Friday night my mom and I went to her book signing and fireside chat discussion in Atlanta. We’ve both been following her blog for many years. So we were excited to get to meet her. Jocelyn’s new book is all about celebrating life’s everyday moments. Rosalynn Daniels, a friend of mine who I hadn’t seen in years hosted the event along with Jocelyn at Williams Sonoma in Ponce City Market. Here are a few photos from the event.
Loving… These Gluten-Free Graham Crackers. I’ve been on the hunt for gluten-free graham crackers forever and I finally found them at Target! I’m loving these honey mini graham crackers by Pamela’s. They are low in sugar and perfect with a peanut butter yogurt dip.
Loved…listening to this podcast interview with Jay Shetty and his wife Radhi Devlukia-Shetty where they discuss the biggest misconceptions about love and what to look for in a partner.
Adds to cart… this athleisure bodysuit from Old Navy.
