I had my first cryo facial done yesterday and I wanted to share my experience with you all.

I enjoy the cold weather and could use a cool down with these hot Georgia temps right now. So when I was approached by Restore Cryotherapy, a new health and wellness facility in Sandy Springs, to try a cryo facial, I was excited and nervous at the same time.

A cryo facial is a skin treatment that subjects your skin to below freezing temperatures. The cold temperature helps the blood vessels in your face flow. The extra blood flow helps your skin produce collagen which helps reduce wrinkles, removes dead skin-cells, reduces pore size and improves the elasticity of the skin. The treatment lasted about 20-minutes and I didn’t experience any pain or discomfort. I found it to actually be very relaxing. After a week with long work hours this is just what I needed.

If you’ve ever gotten a cryotherapy body treatment this experience was very similar except with the use of a hand-held device that alternates between cooling and warming the skin. I was a little concerned about the cooler temps causing skin damage but the aesthetician confirmed that the process is safe due to the amount of time and changing of temperatures from cold to hot.

There are no extractions with this facial or a deep cleansing of the skin during this process. However, post facial I noticed a brighter skin tone, reduction in eye bags, tightening in the skin, a natural glow.

Have you had a cryotherapy treatment done before? Tell me about your experience in the comments below.
